Do you take my insurance?
Insurance very rarely covers massage or acupuncture, however chiropractic care and nutritional consultations may be covered to some extent by your insurance company. Dr. Willetts is not in the network of any insurance company and does not submit claims directly to your insurance company. This allows lower-than-average fees for our area, which is of particular benefit to those many patients without coverage for this type of care. It also allows her to spend more time with her patients than is typically possible.
If your particular policy includes coverage for your chiropractic care, Dr. Willetts will provide you with an itemized receipt known as a superbill, which includes the necessary diagnosis and treatment codes. Upon submission of this receipt to your insurance company, you may receive a reimbursement check directly from them.
What forms of payment do you accept?
All practitioners at Praxis accept cash, personal check, debit card, and Visa or MasterCard. Payment is due at the time of service.
What is your policy regarding changing or cancelling appointments?
24 hours notice is required in order for you to avoid a missed appointment fee. Our online scheduling system will send you an email reminder two days before your appointment.
What should I wear for my treatment?
For a chiropractic visit, please wear (or bring with you) loose, comfortable clothing that can be moved out of the way if necessary in order to reach problem areas. Exercise clothing typically works well.
Acupuncture cannot be performed through clothing, so please bring or wear shorts and a tank top or underwear in which you are comfortable. Disposable gowns are also available.
For massage therapy, clients are typically unclothed to your level of comfort in order to allow for contact with the skin as needed.
